Library Notes
Lucinda's Library Notes (Tues)
This is the original plan I wanted to share with others. When you have a book in your hand from either your personal library, the public library or the school library, how do you use it to build literacy skills? While listening and reading might seem like obvious skills learned when reading a book, writing and speaking skills are also gained as are a host of other competencies. Books teach you to visualize, to imagine and to dream. They connect you to who you are, to people and to the world around you. They are inspirational, educational and foundational. Books are valuable and fun. Let's find ways to build up a love for reading with creative ideas that incorporate crafts, games, music, science, art and literacy skills into the world of a book in our hands.
